Like most composers, Maurits likes talking about himself in the third
person. In his work, acoustic ensembles are almost always
important (though he doesn't shy away from electronic sound synthese)
. Thanks to efficient orchestration, this mode of working is not
necessarily more expensive than purely synthetic scores.
He prefers working with producers who have clear idea of the dramaturgic
role of music in film.
Beside this he is the constructor and architect of the
Soundpalette studios.
He has is own grand piano in studio 3, where he also records
ensembles. |
